The design and production process of the mold for the production and manufacturing of the positioning plate of the perforating gun should be well arranged. The material design of the positioning plate of the perforating gun is very particular, and the material for the positioning plate of the powder metallurgy perforating gun is generally FC0205, which is ordinary copper and carbon steel. The melting point of copper is 1085 degrees, so when FC0205 copper carbon steel is continuously sintered at a temperature of around 1100 degrees, it will produce dissolved copper alloy, greatly enhancing the toughness of the material, thereby improving the tensile strength and crushing strength of the perforation gun positioning plate. There are also two types of pre alloy powders, FN0208 and FN0408, commonly known as AB alloy powder and AE alloy powder in the powder metallurgy industry. These two alloy materials are thoroughly mixed by the manufacturer, with good alloy properties, no segregation, and stable composition. The resulting pressed blank density can reach 6.95 or above. Warm pressing technology can also be used, and the pressed blank density can reach 7.2. After high-temperature sintering at 1120 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, the gold combines firmly with high strength. AE alloy powder contains higher alloy components than AB alloy powder, and is generally used in gears or ratchets with higher strength requirements. Powder metallurgy professionals must choose materials based on relevant experience, material properties, cost control, and other factors.
The design of the positioning plate of the perforation gun is quite important. Professional and experienced designers will optimize the structure of the positioning plate, such as chamfering, to significantly improve the mold life, production cost, and qualification rate of the positioning plate without affecting its performance.
Secondly, the seemingly simple powder metallurgy sintering process is also quite mysterious. Generally, when the pre alloy powder of powder metallurgy gears is sintered at a temperature below 1120 for less than 30 minutes in the high-temperature zone, the alloy properties of the gears are not fully released, and the strength will be insufficient. Positioning plate sintering is generally carried out at 1100 ℃.
